Terms of service
Updated 28 October 2026
What this is
QR Booking is online booking software for small shops in Australia: a booking page and QR code for your clients, a calendar for your staff, client records, and text messages sent on your behalf. These terms are the agreement between you (the business that signs up) and us.
Your account
You must be an Australian business with an active ABN, and at least 18. Each business (each ABN) gets one free trial.
Keep your password to yourself and turn on two-step sign-in. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff do with the access you give them.
Trial and price
The free trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. After it, the price is A$79 a month (or A$790 a year), all in: unlimited staff and bookings, and 500 SMS parts a month. A part is up to 160 characters, or 70 when the text has Chinese or an emoji in it; a longer text uses two parts or more. Parts over 500 in a month cost A$10 for each 100 or part of 100, added to your next bill. During the trial, up to 100 SMS parts can be sent in all.
We are not registered for GST, so no GST is added. An optional set-up service costs A$499 once. We will tell you at least 30 days before any price change.
Paying and cancelling
Plans are paid in advance by card through Stripe. You can cancel at any time: your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and part-periods are not refunded unless the law requires it.
If a payment fails and is not fixed, your shop becomes read-only: you keep your data, your clients can still book online for 7 days, and no texts go out.
Your data and your clients
Your shop's data, including your clients' details and booking history, belongs to you. We hold it to run the service for you and use it for nothing else. You can export it at any time.
You are responsible for collecting it lawfully and for having your clients' consent before you send them marketing texts (Spam Act 2003). Every marketing text carries an opt-out, and a client who replies STOP gets no more.
Fair use
Don't use the service to send spam or unlawful or harmful messages, to pretend to be someone else, to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or to resell it. We may suspend an account that does, and we may hold texts while we look into unusual sending.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features; we will not remove something you rely on without telling you first.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, the service is provided as it is, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses, or for texts a carrier fails to deliver.
Ending
You can close your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where we can. After an account closes we keep its data for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it, except records the law requires us to keep.
Changes and law
We will email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms that affects you. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. Questions: martintse.sc@gmail.com.
